HexaLock has developed two state of the art copy protection solutions.The first copy protection solution is the Multi-Lock solution used for copy protecting applications developed in Delphi, Borland C++ Builder and Microsoft Visual C++. The copy protection is applied to the program files using a dedicated Software Developers Kit (SDK). Using the SDK the developer can implement an unlimited number of authentication tests at any stage of the application. The SDK also contains powerful flow control functions to allow the developer to change the applicationŐs behavior according to the originality of the CD. Therefore allowing the developer to create demo applications, catalogs and/or redirections to the publisherŐs web site in case the CD is not original.
For those publishers who do not wish to integrate HexaLock Copy Protection within their source code or who use high-level development environments, HexaLock offers an Auto-Lock Utility. The Auto-Lock Utility is used to automatically apply HexaLock CD-ROM Copy Protection onto program files without changing the source code. The Auto-Locking of program files is performed via the use of a dedicated copy protection software wizard. The Auto-Lock solution is very easy to implement and is particularly well suited for development environments such as Macromedia Director or Visual Basic.
